Painting is never ending story

Hi, my name is Elva Garma . I come from a small village called Lizums, which is located in one of the Baltic States in Latvia. I painted in my early school years when I was in elementary school.  That time my miden name was Bahvalova, so I started to sign the paintings by this name and I intend to continue with it in the future , since it is my original family name after all.

In childhood I took part in small drawing and painting competitions. My drawing teacher was my neighbor, and I often went to show my drawings to her. In my teenage years, I had other passions, and I did not continue until I was 25, when I felt a great desire to paint again.

After a couple of years, I realized that contrasts, abstract landscapes and sometimes textures are what characterize almost every work of my art. Painting is now a big part of my life.
